In January 2025, the Katsina State Police Command achieved significant successes in combating banditry. According to the Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Abubakar Aliyu, the command neutralized 11 suspected bandits and rescued 85 kidnapped victims during this period. Additionally, 45 individuals were arrested in connection with 52 major crimes, including armed robbery, culpable homicide, kidnapping, and rape. The police also recovered 213 suspected rustled animals and various items such as AK-47 ammunition, motorcycles, and vandalized armored cables. 

These achievements underscore the command's commitment to ensuring the safety and security of residents in Katsina State. The police have expressed gratitude to their officers, the Inspector-General of Police, the state government, and the media for their support in these efforts.
