NANS President Alleges Abduction and Assault by Seyi Tinubu Over Bribery Refusal

The President of the National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS), Comrade Atiku Abubakar Isah, has made serious allegations against Seyi Tinubu, son of President Bola Tinubu. He claims that after refusing a ₦100 million bribe intended to coerce him into resigning his position, he was abducted, beaten, and forced to denounce his leadership on national television.

According to Comrade Isah, he was invited to Lagos, where he met with Seyi Tinubu and the Minister of Youth. Following his refusal of the bribe, he alleges that he was abducted, stripped naked, and physically assaulted. He further claims that, in collaboration with the Managing Director of the Nigerian Television Authority (NTA), he was coerced into making a public statement renouncing his position as NANS President to secure his release.

In a separate incident, during a NANS inauguration ceremony at The Wells Carlton Hotel in Abuja, Comrade Isah alleges that thugs linked to Seyi Tinubu disrupted the event, attacking attendees, including former governors Senator Ibrahim Shekarau and Captain Idris Wada. He asserts that these actions were part of a broader attempt by Seyi Tinubu to interfere with the independence of NANS and install loyalists in leadership positions.

These allegations have sparked widespread concern and calls for investigations into the purported interference in student union activities and the reported acts of violence.
