Davido highlighted the influx of international visitors to Lagos, noting that last December, there were more Americans than Nigerians in the city. He also pointed out the significant presence of African models and creative directors at global events like Paris Fashion Week, underscoring the growing cultural influence of Nigeria.

This isn't the first time Davido has critiqued Nigeria's leadership. In December 2024, he remarked that the country lacks effective leadership, stating, “The only thing missing in Nigeria is the right leaders.” He emphasized that despite Nigerians' resilience and resourcefulness, the nation's progress is hindered by a lack of competent leadership. ​
