The committee, chaired by Prof. Rhoda H. Gumus, is tasked with developing a comprehensive roadmap to ensure a seamless electoral process. Its responsibilities include reviewing the Terms of Reference, developing a work plan, establishing sub-committees, designing an Elections Project Plan (EPP) Template, and setting submission timelines for planning documents.

Other National Commissioners present at the inauguration included Mr. Kenneth Ukeagu, Dr. Baba Bila, Mr. Sam Olumekun, and Prof. Abdullahi Abdu Zuru. During the event, Prof. Gumus emphasized the importance of early planning in strengthening Nigeria's electoral process and urged committee members to discharge their responsibilities diligently to uphold electoral integrity and transparency.

This initiative underscores INEC's commitment to ensuring a well-organized and transparent electoral process for the upcoming 2027 general elections.
