Legendary Nigerian juju musician, King Sunny Ade, has publicly refuted recent claims about his alleged disappearance, assuring fans and the public of his well-being. The 78-year-old artist addressed the rumors in a video shared on his official Instagram account, stating, "I am alive and well."
The controversy began when his daughter, Damilola Esther Adeniyi-Adegeye, who resides abroad, alleged on social media that her father was missing and possibly being held against his will. She accused her stepbrother, Dayo Adegeye, of restricting their father's freedom and mismanaging his finances.
In response, Dayo dismissed the allegations as false and misleading, clarifying that he is not officially King Sunny Ade's manager but assists him occasionally. He also mentioned that their father had recently performed at events and was preparing for upcoming shows.
King Sunny Ade expressed gratitude for the concern shown by fans and well-wishers, emphasizing that he is in good health and continues to engage in his musical activities. He also warned against the spread of false information, indicating that legal actions might be considered against those responsible for disseminating such rumors.
