Gombe treats 84 suspected meningitis cases, records 6 deaths.

The Gombe government has recorded six deaths out of 95 suspected cases of cerebral spinal meningitis (CSM) in the state.
The state has deployed a medical team to Nafada to contain the disease, and 84 people have been treated and discharged.
The six deaths are not enough to declare the disease an outbreak, as they have not reached the threshold for CSM. The state has activated an Emergency Operation Centre (EOC) with WHO, UNICEF, and NCDC to control the spread of detected CSM cases in Funakaye.
